NEW Mercury HP
Mercury HP with 9 Kg (88 N/19,8Lbf) thrust
As we announced in the Radio Control Jet International, our new Mercury HP (High Performance) turbine is now in full production, and has already proved so popular that the first batch of motors have all been reserved - even before we ship the first engines in the next 2 or 3 weeks.
The Mercury HP is exactly the same 100mm (3.95”) diameter as the original Mercury, but 5mm (0.25”) shorter. However the main difference is in the thrust which is now uprated to 9kg (19.8 Lbs), representing an increase of some 25% over the ‘original’ motors, this extra performance being achieved by internal redesign and development.
The photo on top shows the smart new anodised inlet & front cap, in AMT Netherlands colours, and also the new fuel, propane & air quick-connection fittings which are now extended through the front cap to allow easier and faster installation.
Pegasus HP with 16-17* Kg (35,3 Lbf 38,6 Lbf*) thrust
AMT Netherlands is proud to announce the 'Pegasus HP E-start, a completely new 'High Performance' version of our original Pegasus turbine, which has been in constant production since 1995.
Now producing an astonishing 16-17* kg thrust, this new motor is a fully redeveloped version of our original Pegasus design. As well as a 25% increase in thrust, it features reduced fuel consumption, much improved throttle-response, faster start-up's and lower EGT's.
The redesign includes many new parts, including the main shaft, bearings,turbine wheel, combustion chamber, turbine stator (NGV), and higher specification of fuel pump. The new motor also includes a smart anodised inlet and front cap, and Festo quick-connectors to make installation easier.
Due to these considerable changes, it will not be cost effective to upgrade older Pegasus motors to the HP specification. However, later this year, it may be possible to upgrade the most recent AMT Netherlands Pegasus made since the middle of year 2000.
Of course, like all the turbines from AMT Netherlands, the new 'Pegasus HP Estart' comes complete with a full 2 year Warranty.
Olympus HP E-start
with 23,5 Kg (230N / 51,7Lbf) thrust
To celibrate our 10th Anniversary of series production we have updated our famous Olympus to HP (High Performance) specification. Now a real 23,5 Kg ( 51.7Lbs ) is guaranteed.
The Olympus HP features totally re-designed Compressor, Diffuser and Turbines stages, producing a massive power increase, without reducing the legendary reliability and incredibly fast throttle response that our turbines are well known for.
Like all our turbines the Olympus HP is available with manual or auto Air-start, as well as fully automatic electric starting.
Our standard Olympus, wich we made since 1997, will still be made for a limited time, and we will continue to service and maintain them. The standard Olympus cannot be upgraded to HP specification.
Titan E-start
with 40 Kg (392N / 88Lbf) thrust
To celibrate AMT Netherlands 12,5 th Anniversary of series production we introduce an new engine in the high thrust class.
Description of the Titan Electric start gas turbine.
The Titan has been constructed from a single radial compressor and an axial flow turbine stage. The Titan owes much of its excellent performance and superb power/weight ratio to a new design diffuser stage. This revolutionary type of diffuser also allows the relative small engine diameter.
The time required for the Titan to spool up and down is also positively influenced by the low mass of the axial turbine wheel, taking less than 4 seconds and from min. to max. rpm and only 3 seconds from max. rpm to min. rpm.
Like all our turbines the Titan is available with manual or auto Air-start, as well as fully automatic electric starting.
